If you are past 50 (or getting near) then you will by now have realised that its time to take stock of yourself and try to improve your anti aging general health before you get older. Although in the past people were judged to be old at 50,this is not now the case and active life expectancy has risen considerably.
Most people over 50 have lots of interests and activities to keep them both physically and mentally fit.
First thing to look at is your diet. It’s now common for everyone to get brainwashed into buying fast foods or pre-prepared meal from the supermarket.
TV commercials drone on about super saver meals and early opening hours for fast food chains.
Where we should really be concentrating on the food we put into our bodies.
Take a close look at the preservatives and taste enhancers in frozen meals and canned goods. They are NOT there for your benefit.
They are there to make the product look better and last longer (so that they have a longer shelf life and the supermarket can make more money!)
Fresh food is the real answer to antiaging.
Your body is designed to take in a variety of different foods and these fall into 5 main groups.
Fruit and fruit juices - pomegranite juice is particularly beneficial but orange juice and apple juice are healthy too.
You need fibre from veggies to keep the food flowing through your body.
Now George Bush may not like Broccoli but like all dark green veggies its very good for you.
Soups containing veggies are both tasty and cheap.
as part of an omnivore’s diet it is good for you but if you are a vegetarian you must take vitamin supplements to help your body along. Fish is an excellent food and the oils in fish like salmon or trout definitely help your joints to avoid arthritis or gout.
is a simple additive that many people forget.
You should really drink at least 7 glasses of mineral water every day.
Tap water often contains additives and sometimes bacteria.
A really good assistant for anti aging is a pet.
Dogs and cats are a great help to keeping your mind active and taking a dog for a long walk is the best regular exercise that most doctors suggest. Other smaller pets do need looking after and they are really fun!
Your blood pressure should also drop by looking after a pet dog or cat.
A fluffy pet friend is also a good aid against depression.
Skin Tone and wrinkles do become a problem as you get older.
Regular Exercise keeps your body fit and healthy.
Smoking is one of the worst things you can do and seriously harms your
anti aging regime.
It makes your skin dry,stains your hair yellow and definitely makes you smell like a used ashtray..Its never too late to give up smoking. Other anti aging suggestions are to:
keep living plants in your home may people believe that the life force within a plant can really help you..
Lose a little weight. You will look fitter and leaner and suddenly become more attractive when you lose weight.. Moisturize regularly.
Both Men and Women need to moisturize to help in anti aging.
Your skin dries out constantly and you need to replace essential oils – a good cream will do the trick. Cut down on the chocolates and biscuits – these add weight and are not good for you.
Take regular exercise but not those instant health machines on the TV – just visit a flea market or car boot sale to see how many are for sale… buy a small set of weights (lets face it you don’t really want to look like Charles Atlas!) and use them a couple of times each day.
Take a regular healthy vitamin supplement specifically for anti aging
